Very often the fish Salmon has been recognized as an excellent source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Therefore, good press as well as a very attractive color make salmon oil an intriguing choice for manufacturers. Interestingly, the orange color found in pure salmon oil is a byproduct of antioxidants captured by the salmon through its diet and may incur additional health benefits beyond its omega-3 content. Our brilliantly orange salmon oil is derived from the species Salmon Salar.
Although the natural limits of pure salmon oil are 9% EPA, 12% DHA, salmon oil can be enriched with anchovy oil to create an 18% EPA, 12% hybrid.
